Automated Georgian captions for your videos

GeoCaptions generates automated Georgian captions from the speech in your video. Upload the file or paste a link, wait about 13–33 seconds for each minute of video, fix the few words it marks, and download the video with the captions burned in, or the subtitles as an SRT file. It is built for Georgian: every word is checked against a Georgian dictionary and the fonts are tested for every Georgian letter. Free to try, no card needed.

How it works

  1. Add your video. A file from your phone or computer, or a link (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox). Choose the part you want captioned.
  2. Choose a look. 12 caption looks made for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, shown on your own video before you start.
  3. Press Add captions. Every word is heard and timed to the voice; spoken numbers become digits.
  4. Check and download. The editor points at the words most likely to be wrong; fix them, and the video is updated in seconds. Download the MP4, or the SRT.

How accurate it is

On the FLEURS Georgian test set (90 minutes of read speech), the speech engine GeoCaptions uses got 7.8 words in 100 wrong; our own backup model, which takes over if that engine is down, 13.5. Clean, close-microphone speech does better than that; a noisy street or music under the voice does worse. No automatic captioning gets everything right, which is why the editor marks the words most likely to be wrong and lets you fix them in a few taps, with the timing kept.

Questions people ask

Does CapCut support Georgian auto-captions?

No. As of 24 October 2026, Georgian is not in CapCut's auto-caption language list, so Georgian creators type their captions by hand or import a subtitle file. GeoCaptions makes the captions automatically and gives you the SRT file, which CapCut's desktop and web versions can import.

Can YouTube make Georgian captions automatically?

Yes, for videos on YouTube: it adds automatic Georgian captions that viewers can switch on. They are not burned into the video, you cannot style them, and they do nothing for TikTok, Instagram Reels or Shorts. For those you need captions burned into the file, which is what GeoCaptions does.

How accurate are automated Georgian captions?

Measured on the FLEURS Georgian test, about 8 words in 100 are wrong with clean speech; more with noise. GeoCaptions marks the doubtful words, and you fix only those before downloading.

Can I download an SRT file?

Yes: SRT, VTT and plain text, next to the video itself, and a transparent caption overlay for Premiere, DaVinci or CapCut.

Is it free?

You get 3 minutes of captions a month free, with a watermark and at 720p, no card needed. Paid plans start at ₾19 a month, without the watermark and at 1080p. Prices are in lari; a video that fails gets its credits back.

Does it work for TikTok, Reels and Shorts?

Yes. The captions are burned into the video, kept clear of each app's buttons, and a wide video can be made vertical. You download the finished file and post it as usual.
