How it works
- Add your video. A file from your phone or computer, or a link (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox). Choose the part you want captioned.
- Choose a look. 12 caption looks, shown on your own video before you start. Pick the one that fits your business, change its colours and font, and save it as your own; on the Studio plan the Brand kit makes it the look every new video starts with.
- Press Add captions. Every word is heard and timed to the voice, about 13–33 seconds for each minute of video; spoken numbers become digits.
- Check and download. The editor points at the words most likely to be wrong; fix them, and the video is updated in seconds. Download the MP4, or the SRT.
Videos a business makes
- Restaurants and cafés A dish, the kitchen, the chef talking about the menu: a short vertical video where the captions say what the voice says, for people who scroll with the sound off.

GeoCaptions makes the captions from speech, so the video needs someone talking. Read the captions before you post: they are made by AI and can contain mistakes.
Captions that TikTok and Instagram do not cover
On a 1080 × 1920 video, the buttons and texts of the app cover the top 160 px, the bottom 420 px and 150 px on the right. GeoCaptions keeps every caption line inside the middle area that is left. It is one set of numbers for TikTok, Reels and Shorts together, not a separate set for each app.

In the app this is the switch “Keep captions visible on TikTok, Reels & Shorts” in the caption style options. It is on by default for vertical looks, and you can turn it off. Business videos usually end up as Reels, TikToks or Shorts, so this switch matters: without it a caption can hide under a button or the name and description.
These are our own measurements for a 1080 × 1920 video. Apps change their screens from time to time, so they are not an official rule of any app.

What is the Brand kit, and who gets it?
The Brand kit is a place to keep what makes your videos yours: your own logo, brand colours, caption style, your own font, and intro and outro clips. It is part of the Studio plan. A font you upload is checked for all 33 Georgian letters, so tails and tops are not cut.
Can my customers or visitors abroad read the captions?
Yes, if you add captions in their language. Georgian speech can get English, Russian and 57 more languages as captions. Read the translation before you post; automatic translation can have mistakes.
How does it handle names, prices and medical words?
Every word is compared with a Georgian dictionary of 510,000 words. A word that is not in it, such as an unusual name or a brand, is marked, and you fix it in the editor. Spoken numbers become digits. Nothing replaces your own reading before you post.
How long is my video kept?
The video is deleted automatically 24 hours after you last worked on it, or 7 days on a paid plan (30 on Studio). Its captions stay in My projects for 90 more days, to download as SRT, VTT or TXT, unless you delete them sooner. Deleting the project or your account deletes everything.
Is it free?
You get 3 minutes of captions a month free, with a watermark and at 720p, no card needed. Paid plans start at ₾19 a month, without the watermark and at 1080p; the Brand kit needs the Studio plan. Prices are in lari.
